Gps Ski Maps is the first ski app that offers offline GPS accurate piste/trail maps: currently supported on Android®, Blackberry®, (and now ski app iPhone). This ski app supports Gps Tracking and ski-trail by ski-trail analysis in 560+ Skiing resorts.

  • Install ski trail maps for offline usage. Ski App does not need internet access once the trail maps are downloaded.

    View GPS maps, locate yourself on the Ski Resort, and use any other features the software supports.

  • Pan/zoom/locate yourself on the mountain

    The ski app supports standard mapping featurs like pan/zoom to get an overall idea of the ski resort. The maps have been specially preparted for usage in ski resorts. Lodges/restaurant/Ticket office/Parking/Skier drop off areas/lift types/runs are marked in the dowloaded ski maps. If your device has a GPS or you use a bluetooth GPS puck, you can locate yourself on the mountain at any time.

  • View POIs (New!!)

    Each ski resort map include a list of POIs covering all lifts, ski trails categorized by difficulty level, terrain parks, lodges, restaurants, Ticket office, parking  etc.

  • Search Ski Resort(New!!)

    Ski app lets you search across a database of built in POIs and user defined waypoints. Search is fully functional without any network connectivity.

  • Record GPS tracks

    If your device has GPS  or you use a bluetooth GPS puck paired with your device, you can record your GPS tracks for ski analytics  or just to see the mountain terrain that you have covered when you take a  break.

  • View tracks overlay

    If you turn on track recording, at any point you can view the ski resort map with your ski tracks overlaid on the maps in dark brown color. This would help you  figure out  with a glance which portion of the ski mountain  you have covered and the ski trails you need to do!

  • Live Ski track animation

    If you turn on ski track recording, you can play your slo track at any time. The track play shows you a red dot traversing the mountain. Faster you ski, faster the red dot moves! You can see your speed at the bottom left corner of the phone screen.

  • Ski track analytics/stats

    If you turn on ski track recording, you can look at detailed ski analytics for your tracks. Detailed  track analytics include:

  1. Name of each ski lift taken, in the order you took them.
  2. For each run, in the order you did it, you can see the name of the ski trails covered. For each run, you can ski the distance skied, your average speed, your maximum speed and the time taken to do that run.
  3. If you ski through multiple trails during a run, you can view the name of each trail you skied through. For each trail, you can ski the distance skied, your average speed, your maximum speed and the time taken to do that trails.
  • Ski track summary

    If you turn on track recording, you can view the sumarry of recorded tracks. The track summary includes the following. If you are intermediate skier, you would see maximum distance skied on blue trails. If you are an expert skier, you would find yourself most on the black runs or unknown territory.

  1. Distance skied on blue trails, your maximum, average speed  and  time spent on the  blue trails.
  2. Distance skied on black trails,  your maximum, average speed  and  time spent on the  black trails.
  3. Distance skied on green  trails, your maximum, average speed  and  time spent on the  green trails.
  4. Number of lits taken.
  5. Number of runs skied
  • Export Ski tracks for posterity

    You can export recorded tracks in GPX format to our partner website or to your local filesystem. GPX is a standard format supported by all mapping software including google earth.

  • Ski Seasons's/Lifelong  Summary (New!!)

    The app keeps track of season's summary for each resort.  There is also an option to view lifelong summary for a ski resort. The season's summary includes:

  1. Distance skied on blue trails, your maximum, average speed  and  time spent on the  blue trails.
  2. Distance skied on black trails,  your maximum, average speed  and  time spent on the  black trails.
  3. Distance skied on green  trails, your maximum, average speed  and  time spent on the  green trails.
  4. Number of lits taken
  5. Number of runs skied
  6. Number of days skied
  • Create Custom Waypoints (New!!)

    You can create custom way points in two ways:

  1. From your current location.
  2. Manually selecting a point on the map. 

 

  • Distance Bearing Tool (New!!)

    The app includes a tool to find distance and bearing between any two points on the map.
